I am a fourth year osteopathic medical student from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. I took a year off to discover a broader health perspective and strengthen my research skills with a Master in Public Health degree at USC. So far, I have taken up projects in Latino Tobacco Education and working on genetic research in HELLP Syndrome and Preeclampsia. I hope to be an OB/GYN in a few years with the focus of creating culturally-based methods of preventing common ailments in the Latina Community of Los Angeles.
